Snap, crackle, and pop

It has been a travel cum shopping day, with not many photo opportunities until we took the dog out before tea.

We have returned to Bruère-Allichamps, which we first visited a few weeks ago. They claim this to be the geographical centre of France, but other places make similar claims. We will just say that we are in the heartlands of France. There's not much here, which is probably why we like it.

It was slightly cooler on the 18th June but there was far less water in the Cher back then. It's still quite swollen today after recent heavy rain.

We walked Nell around the Parcours de Santé adjacent to the aire. It's looking rather underused/overgrown. I was going to share a picture of the scene, with an abundance of knee high yellow flowers but when I saw the river that clinched it.

Probably stopping for two nights. We want to find a new route home and perhaps stop somewhere along the way. It's forecast for 34 degrees here on Friday, travelling with the aircon on sounds better than staying put in the sun.
