Brown Sugar

Croome Park this afternoon was hot and although I'd gone there for dragons the  flowerbeds were heaving with butterflies. This is a meadow brown on  the knautia Macedonica - a plant which honestly could hardly breath for insects of every description heading for its nectar.

The gym wasn't funny this morning and goodness knows what on earth possessed me to walk round Croome in the heat. The dogs I kept at home.
