Phone a ferry

Out early again and did a lovely walk along riverside and across fields and then back via a nice little coffee shop and a cold coffee. The coffee shop was really good, dog friendly and still requesting customers wear masks. We walked back to the van via a small park and spotted a walk for this evening.
Hetty and I spent the afternoon on the site sitting in the shade and hubby went of to the Abbey and then back to the book shops.
After dinner we went for a walk across the meadow, with great view of the Abbey, and down a lane signed ferry. Lots of campers parked up around the ferry slipway but didn’t look like there was a ferry. When we got back we noticed a sign saying ferry operates until dark on request, and a number.
