Spotted By My Macro Roving Eye

I love it when I spot and manage to capture an insect that I haven't seen before. There are loads of rove beetles, some are tiny and one of the largest is the familiar devil's coach horse. This is medium sized, I like its coppery small wing cases and its black and white striped abdomen.

I also photographed a harvestman. (Extras) These are arachnids but not spiders. Its eye turret can be seen.

My daughter and I and our dogs spent a pleasant time this morning chatting and sipping iced water under a hawthorn in the garden.
