Tuba Man

Just made the second to last train back to London after work tonight, (express one taking 58 minutes instead of the every stop on the way 1 hr 28 minutes train!) The whole carriage was empty except for one girl who, if her overly loud phone call was anything to go on, seemed to be having a nightmare week involving tight deadlines (uni?) and was having to get the train from Norwich to Cambridge every day via london Kings Cross at to avoid a 4 hour coach journey. By car that journey is no more than an hour. I got an email this morning from National Express informing me that Great Western train services would be undergoing service improvements over easter and that I should travel with them instead. Not likely for a 2 hour journey time that includes a full tour of London's surrounding suburbs with constant stopping to let no one off or on.

Anyway, was half asleep playing temple run when this lot got on at Stevenage. From what I can tell, they are a professional outfit and had obviously taken full advantage of St Patricks day after their gig, bring half the half the contents of the bar with them on the train.
When They got on, 'Tuba Man' loudly apologised to everyone in the carriage before remarking that they might have picked the wrong one as everyone was asleep!. I went back to my game and had no idea that they had any instruments with them until I heard the Tuba and looked up to see 'Tuba Man' doing his best to balance whilst being thrown from side to side across the train playing his instrument.
After that it didn't take much persuasion for the rest of the group to join in with trumpets, horns and drums. I was soon spotted taken photos and a couple of videos and they seemed to up their game after that.

A couple jumped off at Finsbury Park and the bugle song of remembrance was quickly played as they left.

I only wish I had been brave enough to suggest filming a Harlem shake with them either on the train or at Kings Cross.
