Sausage factory

Tonight is the last supper with the wwoofers. Nick and Peigidh are also here. Angus has gone west to a bothy party with Hamish.

I mince pork from the freezer, apples and leeks from the fridge, and toasted bread for the rusk. Onions, garlic, marjoram, and wholegrain mustard complete the sausage mix. Then I get confused by the sausage casings - shipped on a plastic contraption that I can’t get my head around. I put the casing directly on the sausage spout and it works perfectly.

Cooked in the oven, served with green salad, tomato, basil, and mozzarella salad, and potato salad. Yum.

Juliette has made lemon meringue pie for afters.

I eat too much.
