The Pink Bathrobe

A scene on the Rue de Tolbiac this morning not far from us in Paris 13e. As you see in large, the building dates from 1905, similar to most others nearby on the street. Thin spikes on the narrow ledge under the date prevent pigeons from roosting.

The shop at the lower left is a very small Boucherie (butcher) which also sells volailles (poultry); we patronize it occasionally.

I was showing our two charming young guests from China where to take the 67 bus for Pigalle; Montmartre was their main destination today. They've done the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and the Arc de Triomphe (and seen a rainbow on the Champs Elysees).
