Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

Batman hoverfly ....

..... posh name Myathropa florea.  When we saw it, I wondered if it was a bee fly, as it didn't seem to hover.  But Google tells me it is this rather common hoverfly.  Still, it was pretty.

It was a bit less hot today, but still we were glad we opted for finding a woodland walk in Sulham woods.  We didn't see anything very exciting, but it was a pleasant amble.

This evening we have been to the local pub for a meal - also not exciting, but adequate.  It seemed they were probably slightly short staffed - perhaps they've been hit by the "pingdemic".  Also this evening there is a distinct chill in the wind, and it seems the excessively hot spell has broken.  We've had a lovely break, but are off home tomorrow.

Where to next?
