Summer

So relieved that today was much cooler, it made for a much more bearable day at work. Looking forward to a better night’s sleep, the fan in the bedroom said only 24 degrees when I checked an hour ago. Last night I was woken by a vehicle outside the house, we live on a small row of houses with mainly families and it’s unusual to hear vehicles after eleven. I got out of bed only to find it was the milkman delivering at 11.30.
First strawberries of summer tonight, not grown in the garden but delicious all the same.
