Abbotsford

After a very warm night in the room, headed to Abbotsford, the home of Walter Scott. A lovely place with some great gardens, went down to the Tweed for Barney to have a swim. Then over to Dryburgh Abbey which was mostly closed off due to falling masonry, a good wander about before up to Smailholm tower which also was closed due to falling masonry. Back to Melrose for cake and coffee before going round the Abbey which a lot was closed of due to falling masonry.  A good walk into town later with a paddle for Barney.
