Leaderfoot Viaduct

First stop of the day at tge Leaderfoot viaduct, driven passed it so many times and never stopped. Well worth the visit to see the 3 bridges, though the new road one not as impressive as the 2 old ones. A walk up the hill to the old roman Fort at Trimontium, not much visible, but did make a lovely springer puppy.
Over to Kelso and a visit to Floors castle, some lively gardens very jealous of their sweetpeas and veg gardens. A walk down to the Tweed for another paddle for Barney.  Sun was full out and very warm by the time we got back to Melrose. So needed to stop for a cold refreshment.
Sat out in the hotel gardens as cooler than the room before heading jnto town via the river walk. Barney once again in his element.
