Parenthood can make participating in the AOCs...challenging, to say the least! Team Cobweb Spider placed Cora on their team even though she had very recently given birth to dozens of tiny spiderlings!  Cora is, by far, the swiftest participant in the Screen Climbing event. And since her species spends absolutely no time whatsoever parenting once their offspring emerge from the egg, Cora was good to go! And did, in fact, capture the gold in her event!
Sidenote: this reporter spent several days observing and photographing Cora as she deposited her egg in a small cobwebby nest on the inside of a window screen. I wasn't the only one showing intense interest in Cora...Check the *extra for Annie Anole. Annie spent hours trying to figure out how to get at Cora! And finally gave up just before the 'blessed event'. As soon as the spiderlings emerged from the egg, Cora left the scene!
