Quod oculus meus videt

Harvest Time

This is one of the fields L rides along the edge of to get to the Chase. Our initial concern was whether the combine harvester and tractors/trailers coming in periodically to collect the grains, might spook Meg.  We wonder how good her eyesight is, she is over 30 years old, and it is one of the reasons I often help them to cross the busy road between the stables and the bridleway on to the Chase.

Once we were back I held on and put the drone up to take some images of the patterns produced by the harvesting.  What’s interesting is the irregular paths exposed by the harvesting. I can only imagine that they were made by animals, including the local deer that frequent the area.
