Aubergine

The hot weather last week has brought on the flowers and vegetables in the garden, so everything is looking blooming, except for the courgettes that seem intent on remaining dormant. In the greenhouse, the tomatoes are ripening nicely and the cucumbers are already producing a generous crop. However, I am most pleased with the aubergines. Last year I grew two small specimens for the first time that we were able to eat. This year we will have more than two from each plant and of a good size. Now to decide what to cook with them.
A short walk with Ms. S's sister and husband, followed by gardening this afternoon to address those areas of excessive and unwanted growth.
