River of Flowers

Monday: Inula

Builders arrived just after 7:30 this morning, coffee on and a few teas, they finished attaching the cladding by early afternoon.
Remainder of the day they were finishing the edges and around the windows.
The chimney has also been prepared for rendering.
Still very hot and air oppressive outside but by evening there was a freshening of the air - we have thunderstorm warning from 9am tomorrow until Wednesday, but clouds may be suggesting something happening this evening ...
Garden salad this evening, red-veined sorrel which pops up everywhere, a few small leaves off the sea beet and wild chicory, a couple of lettuce leaves from the greenhouse (slugs hadn't found them!) and I chopped up the first of this Summer's baby courgette - lots more to come!?
Had a bottle of cider this evening!! The last one from our Christmas parcel from our daughter, from https://www.pantdu.co.uk/en/home that visit is still anticipated!
I've blipped the Inula because it's such a reliable plant, I've a few clumps of them dotted around the garden - flowers feed the pollinators, seeds feed the birds in the winter and they're quite tall so that birds can perch on them and check out for predators :-))
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
