Gatekeeper season...

is definitely upon us! They're everywhere! And thankfully a few decided to pose nicely for me today as I had a little wander along Benfleet Creek.  Rain had been forecast but it all stayed dry and humid and it was lovely and peaceful too - albeit for a few cows moo-ing in the background!  There weren't so many marbled whites about today, or skippers, but hundreds of the gatekeepers, especially on the brambles! I even noticed blackberries ready already! Time to start snacking on a few I think as I walk!!  But only the ones higher up...... ;)

A fairly relaxed day today - one of those days when there's things to do but little inclination to do them!
