Dahlia...

A day of sunshine and showers! Finally some rain for the garden!!

we were out and about this morning as had some errands to run, and then ended up at a nearby garden centre that we hadn't been to for a long time.  Was very empty when we got there but starting to fill up a bit more by the time we left.  Managed to stop there for some early lunch and bought a couple of house plants that I'd been promising to treat myself to for a while! Was good in the outdoor plant section though despite the offers on display! Lots of bedding plants being sold off cheap... but I resisted!

Nice to see this dahlia in bloom for the first time in the garden! Wonder how long it will be before the slugs attack this flower as they've been eating loads of the other ones!! grrrrrr
