Ravens return

We returned to Ravenseat farm again today; this time taking Laura, Mama & Papa A.

It was busier than last week, but we did manage to get a table to sit at while we enjoyed our cream teas.

The original plan was to stop off somewhere scenic for a picnic lunch, before going to Ravenseat for dessert. However, the weather forecast wasn’t great so we thought best to go there first.

Mama A was in her element; totally starstruck, though we reminded her they are just ordinary, working people who happen to be featured on a tv show.

Perhaps we struck lucky today, but we managed to see the whole family, so again Mama A was absolutely delighted at this.

Amanda was sporting a black eye (sheep inflicted) and didn’t really interact much with visitors. Clive however, came to the gates with a cheery ‘ey up everybody’ and was happy to chat and have selfies.
Little Clemmie hitched a lift on one of the tractors and made us all laugh by waving like the Queen! She must have passed back and forth about half a dozen times, but her little hand waved non stop every time.

The other Owen kids were all milling about; it might be school holidays but farm life goes on and they all seemed to have their own little jobs to be getting on with.

On the way home, we parked up somewhere on the Yorkshire Moors and had our picnic. Mr A even made our guests a cup of tea on his camping stove.

We’d more or less got back to Preston before it started to rain, so it proved to be a good day out and everyone had a good time which was the best bit :-)
