Lost

We had a free day so first headed down to the Lost Gardens of Heligan . What an amazing place and despite being busy, so many little nooks and grand vistas to admire . We spent about 3.5 hours wandering around, in the kitchen garden, formal garden and jungle.
These boots were outside the potting shed, as it says. A sad period for the gardens after WW1 but it’s beautiful and thriving now.

After lunch we headed to the old fishing port of Mevagissey. There just happened to be a coastal cruise leaving skippered by an opportunist fisherman , so we hopped on board. We got a different view of the cliffs and beaches around Mevagissey, and passed by a mate of his, gutting his catch.
A wander through the narrow streets, afterwards browsing the art and gift shops. Lovely day!
