Plenty

of color beginning to show at Frohring Meadows this morning.  The heavy equipment is gone and new drainage and sandy gravel covers some of the trails.  No public news on the controversy yet.

Above:  Showy Tick-trefoil, Desmodium canadese
Extra 1: Wild Bergamot, Monarda fistulosa

Extra 2: Big Bluestem, Andropogon gerardii

The trail that surrounds the meadow and goes through the woods is named the Big Bluestem trail.  This is the first time I've noticed the tiny little seedlings in yellow, orange, and red.

Thank you Miranda and Osuzanna for hosting!
