Gutted

As those who pay attention might know, tomorrow was to be our first full relaunch of our Sea Scouts. 5 brand new dinghies were delivered early March 2020 and sat wrapped in their plastic until a couple of months ago. We’ve all spent a lot of time prepping for our return to F2F Scouting in June which was followed by a staged return to sailing after 19th July.’

We started last week with capsize drills and then spent Sunday practising towing dinghies etc in preparation for tomorrow night when we hoped to start actual sailing. We now have 23 Scouts, 18 of who are beginner sailors. So a yellow weather warning for wind has pulled the plug on tomorrow night. Gutted.
