A clash of colours

Thank you all very much for the stars and hearts for yesterday's butterfly, which is now riding high on page 1 of the populars.

JJ wanted to drop an old Calor gas tank at the garden centre, so I decided it was a good idea to pick up a couple of plants to fill in some of the gaps in the perennial border.

I picked up an Echinacea, which may possibly feature tomorrow, weather permitting, and a Nemesia, now ensconced in a large pot.  I've also moved the Fennel out of a pot and into the border, and planted a sad "something-or-other" in the vacated pot to see whether the slugs and snails will leave it alone and I can find out what it is.

This Peacock butterfly spent a little time feeding on the Scabious, clinging on for dear life in the strong wind.
