Double Gold with a Silver lining

This is the story of a golden day in Aotearoa.........and on the feeding table.

They gathered together to share the Olympic hope......
There was much shouting and screaming, mostly directed at the TV.......
Eyes were glued as the Kiwi rowers produced exemplary performances on the water........

A day for the history books as, in the space of just an hour or so, Emma Twigg won gold in the women's single sculls, the womens' eight claimed silver and the men's eight powered home for gold.  Wow!  The bird table went crazy!!!
