Dahlias

From H's garden yesterday.  They've brightened up a very rainy and overcast day, although I had to stay in all day: anyway:

1.  Because the gas man cometh, yet again - between 9 and 1pm  and nearer 1pm it was!  
2.  Had to finish the needlecase for #1 granddaughter.  Nearly there and #1 daughter isn't setting off to Edinburgh until lunchtime tomorrow so I have a little leeway to get it finished.
