An Unkindness of Ravens

By Nevermore

Basking in the Autumn sun

A common brown butterfly (female), making the most of the glorious weather - this is more like Autumn is supposed to be. Cool nights and warm sunny days. She was high in a bush, with branches between me and her, so this is a heavy crop and I had to stand on tippy toes and gently move the branches slightly to not get too many leaves in front of the camera - but there are still a few.

I also saw two beautiful male King Parrots feasting on the acorns this morning, but strangely I preferred this common old butterfly, because of the light.

If you want to see the parrots, there is a male HERE and a female HERE (much better than the one from the other day), in my blip folio.
