Life In The Wild

Today’s Blipfoto shows a feather lying on the grass. I think it is a pigeon’s feather. Was the poor bird captured in flight by the many raptors that fly around here? Did it escape minus one feather?

The feather and the grass is covered in raindrops. It has been drizzling all morning. Yet the rain app continues to show no rain.

However an interesting pattern on the feather.

Another day at home reorganising our studio and recycling paper. Our bin is now full and the neighbour’s bin has been pressed into service and is nearly full.

A visit to the recycling centre is necessary. All visits are by appointment. I have arranged one for Wednesday. The appointment is set for 11:00 a.m. Do not arrive early. You only have ten minutes. Bring booking number and driving licence. Car registration number has also been given. Do not change car.

I am only recycling paper on this visit. Another visit will be required for redundant office equipment, followed by more paper visits.

Several telephone conversations today cantering around the new legislation for fire alarm systems in dwelling houses which come into force next February in Scotland.

Pat had sent out an email to friends and former clients who had enquired about the more stringent requirements.
