Common Thistle ( Cirsium vulgare )

Another shot taken between the Lodge and "the bins".  It is surprising just how much catches the eye when you are desperate for a blip.  I was lucky and caught this "Marmalade Hoverfly" ( Episyrphus baleatus ) resting on the flower.  I think this thistle is sometimes also now and the Scotch Thistle although I have also been told the only thing called Scotch is whisky, anything else is Scots.

After prepping the Lodge it was home and gather the things Katkatkat wants and pack ready for a few days up in Edinburgh with her.
