At last

Some may remember a titanic job I undertook in November to re-roof a shed which carries the mass of solar heating hoses for our swimming pool. In a race against snow, managed to get it all done except the last step!

Had always planned to use the old concrete roof tiles from our house re-roof in 2017, but when I went to work out the spars for the tiles, realised there was next to no fall - somewhere around 1° or 2° where for a normal roof the recommended absolute minimum is 25°.

So had abandoned further work, hoping the asphalted felt would hold out while I got a metal roof sorted. Sorted didn't happen & by the time it got critical this year, the price of building materials had basically doubled, and a metal roof was never going to be cheap.

A friend who is a carpenter/wood house builder took a look recently and said the concrete tiles would do. Worst case sone dry snow may get blown underneath, but as I had done all the under construction so well, it wouldn't be a problem. So the decision made to use tiles.

Today we did the job. All went well.
