Chilean Myrtle

Spent a bit of time today in the garden, wrestling the weeds and carrying out some deadheading/pruning, before  it rained hard for an hour. The bees are wild about the lavender, but proved too quick to photograph, so I have  chosen a shot of my Luma apiculata, a South  American myrtle. It is in a very large pot, and provided I keep it well watered,  produces  these pretty flowers followed by purplish fruits.
A great Prom concert on the television tonight comprising  Mozart's last three symphonies numbers 39, 40 and 41, played by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and conducted by the exuberant  Maxim Emelyanychev.
