Will it, Won't it?

The first to my knowledge proper test of our December 2020 completed flood overflow system. It worked!

The harmless little stream that flows past our house pops out of its banks flooding the nearby fields (top left), and then flows into the village but almost straight away just after the church, the bank has been lowered to allow it to flow over a newly landscaped long area of fields to eventually re-enter the river downstream from the village.

Without this, our stream goes into the centre of the village to join there a larger stream, and this is where the problems start. It all seemed to go well, helped by the fact it was a waning moon.

Our parish's investment was of course subsidised by the Bavarian State & the EU as it is all part of a huge concept for the Danube. Every little bit of rain that can be slowed down benefits the whole of south-east Europe - 2,900 km and 10 countries.
