Surprisingly, the temperature got up to 23C today, too hot, but we made the best of it.

We were through in Linlithgow, and we walked round Linlithgow Loch..... it was busy with lots of people doing the same thing.  Always nice to walk near the water, and great views of Linlithgow Palace, where Mary Queen of Scots was born in 1542.  She became Queen of Scots when six days old. Her very sad life is well documented, but her son was James the Sixth of Scotland and First of England, who united the countries.  I do like history although I sometimes get the dates wrong......
