Rain's Coming

Because the wind is up. Shortly afterwards great splats of moisture fell on us as we sat on the bench at Nanpantan Reservoir surveying the scene. It's raining now.

Not much to report. I finished uploading a second DIG event in two days. Hope the powers that be get the ticketing done before they're due to go live tomorrow afternoon.

Almost as many Mandarin ducklings on the water as there were Mallard Ducks. I'm glad the Mandarins have managed to establish themselves. No grebes though. It's the first year I can remember that great crested grebes have not been on the water.

We spotted a very poorly carp in the shallows on the south bank. It didn't move even when Len tossed a pebble at it. Perhaps it had been caught too many times.

One fisherman arrived while we were there. Erected his shelter and settled himself for probably the weekend.
