Bob and Wilf (which is which?)

What a day out. We went to Dymchurch with friends Wilf, Bob and Sue for a day out by the sea. Dymchurch beach is a favourite place of ours, a vast sandy shore when the tide is out with plenty of room to walk on the form sand.

We started with coffees and various cakey things from the Beach Hut cafe , sitting on a bench in the sunshine watching the world go by.

This was followed by a leisurely 6 and a half mile stroll along the beach and sea wall to New Romney and back. Delightful. Bob and Wilf had a great time as you can see.

The weather had been excellent all day until we arrived back at Dymchurch whereupon all of a sudden clouds rolled in and it began to rain.

No problem as the plan was to drive down to The Pilot at Dungeness for a high tea. Fish and chips (of course) for us while our friends had various pies.

More developments on the allotment saga. Meridian, the local TV station want to do an interview and Tony is meeting a reporter from the Times tomorrow. The Telegraph also ran a piece. We’ve made the nationals.
