Water lily at its best

Much quieter, particularly this morning where we were catching up on things that needed to be done. This also applied to the early part of the afternoon too.

We went for our customary walk, calling in on Doreen to deliver her shopping and to get her to put the phone back on the base only to find that her consumer box had tripped again at sometime since yesterday evening and that the freezer had been off. Having noticed that the plugs were not working in the kitchen she didn’t ring to tell us.

Last time it happened many £s worth of food had defrosted before anyone noticed. Fortunately, we found the fault and were able to get the power back on without loosing another freezer full of food.

Today’s blip is a pleasure to post. This summer has been ever for water lilies on our small pond. We think it’s in too much shade to be prolific and also is in competition with other plants. This year we’ve had 4 flowers and we’re really chuffed.
