Persicaria amplexicaulis ?

A very rewarding early morning on the plot ... Runner beans, French beans, broad beans, carrots, beetroot, courgettes including 2 Patty Pan, blueberries, & raspberries plus some scrumped, not really I was offered it ... honest occifer :-D rhubarb. Thge skies blackened once or twice but the rain held off fortunately. I potted up 18 Ajuga purpurea, another tray of plants for the sale.
The rest of today has been very idle, enjoying the Olympics form Tokyo immensely. Some more medals today including a fantastic Gold for Kate French winning the Women's Modern Pentathlon. Whoop whoop!!!
Currently watching the showjumping ... GB are through to tomorrow ,quite a few having fences down. Surprises every day in every event.

I love this plant, just need to get some strong coloured plants to compliment it. I bought it at during a visit to Torre Abbey gardens in Torquay a couple of years back, & don't remember if it had a lable. They pot up pieces of plants growing in the garden to sell. A super garden to visit if you're ever in Torquay with nothing to do. The cactus, & tropical greenhouses are well stocked with many interesting plants. It was £2.50 entry fee, money well spent.

I'm going to attempt making salt n' pepper squid ronight ... it will be a first. Fingers crossed it's a success.
Thanks to BikerBear/Anni for continuing to host Flower Friday
