All the fun of the seaside

It was blowing down at West Bay this afternoon.  My mother's neighbour had called at 0830 to relate a tale (now quite familiar) of my aged mother found lying on her back and unable to move at 0230 by her tenant.  The ambulance crew told the tenant that they had been a couple of times before – my mother was known to them . . .

So, a FaceTime call to see if I could, again, persuade her to move (in vain) and chat with the tenant who knows his rights under Portuguese law (sigh) and will probably move only if paid to do so; so that's two obstacles to changing from the status quo and life will continue, on the edge and insoluble.

A stroll among the grockles (we're not them now :-)) was called for and it was delightful!  All manner of people were down at the seaside and it felt richer for it.  The Fish and Chip shop seemed to be popular (Extra) but my interest in that dish has waned – it used to be so tasty on top of several pints . . .
