A time for everything

Tuesday
So thankful for the blue skies and sunshine we enjoyed all day today, even though it was still cold and very blustery. I was at church this morning for our Tuesday morning bible study. The title of the chapter was Embracing God's love. We closed by reading Psalm 103, a wonderful summary of God's love and all he does for us.

The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

I had then planned on going to the gym to work out, but the sun enticed me to walk outside, so after a quick light lunch at home, I went walking at Sharon Woods, where I came across this heron wading in the shallow water looking out for his lunch.

It's hard to believe its the first day of Spring tomorrow - it certainly doesn't feel like it - temperatures are running about 15-20 degrees below normal, and there's no significant warm-up in the 7-day forecast. This time last year we were at the other extreme, with temperatures running 15-20 degrees above normal!
