Distressed Door (back blip for yesterday)

This is another photo in the series: 'David taking close-up photos of interesting surfaces around the house, having got to 10pm and realised that he has failed to photograph anything during the day'. Given that, I'm pretty pleased with how it has turned out. It's the cracked and flaking paint on a door which looks weatherbeaten, but which actually connects the dining room to the hallway. Yes, the door could be cleaned, sanded down and repainted or varnished, but in the process it would become just another anonymous door, rather than the highly individual portal character it is now.
