Cricket on the Green

What could contrast more to the frantic meleé of the Fringe happening just a quarter of a mile away than this sedate cricket match on the Meadows. It gives the latter the feel of a sleepy English village green, an oasis in the midst of chaos.

Earlier, I managed to navigate my way through the tourists on the Mound down to the gallery to hand over a gingerbread traybake to my firstborn and enlist her help in sartorial decisions with several selfie photos.

On the way I managed to see the pharmacist at the local chemist about a poorly eye and got antibiotic eye drops, all so much more efficient than going through the hurdles of seeing a GP.
