AOG: Relays at the Aquatic Centre

Today was the final full day of competition at the AOG and some success for Team GB at the Aquatic Centre in the Pond Skater mixed relay with an unexpected silver medal. Here we can see Phoebe at the start for her circuit of the pond. Earlier a rival team had been disqualified after officials found them using a banned substance on the hairs on their legs to keep more water out by allowing bubbles to attach to them, therefore allowing them to skate on the water faster than is naturally the case. Disgraceful behaviour.

Team GB got it's 20th gold medal today with Joe Choong winning the men's modern pentathlon, following Kate French winning gold in yesteday's women's modern pentathlon. And good to see Galaf Yafai get gold in the men's flyweight boxing and Tom Daley get a bronze to add to his tally.

Day 509 / Day 20 of Step 4 of Roadmap Easing (for my record only)
A drop in daily cases today. Prof Neil Ferguson says 'I think it is unlikely we will need a new lockdown or even social distancing measures of the type we've had so far'. The 'caveat' is if the 'virus changes substantially'.
