Cytrefu concrit a chraciau ~ Colonising concrete and cracks

Blynyddoedd yn ôl, pan roedden ni'n chwilio am Lygaid y Dydd  i blannu yn y lawnt, gwnes i ffeindio'r blodau hyn ar wal hen orsaf petrol (nawr glanhawr sych, ond dyna stori arall). Roeddwn i'n meddwl y roedden nhw ryw fath o Lygaid y Dydd, ac os gallen nhw tyfu mewn craciau yn goncrit gallen nhw tyfu unrhywle. Roeddwn i'n anghywir. Maen nhw 'Mexican Fleabane' (Erigeron karvinskianus) ac maen nhw'n hoffi waliau. Mae'n ymddangos dydyn nhw ddim yn hoffi lawntiau o gwbl.

Years ago, when we were looking for daisies to plant in the lawn, I found these flowers on the wall of an old petrol station (now a dry cleaner, but that's another story). I thought they were some kind of Daisy, and if they could grow in cracks in concrete they could grow anywhere. I was wrong. They're 'Mexican Fleabane' (Erigeron karvinskianus) and they like walls. They don't seem to like lawns at all.
