Spicebush Swallowtail on Butterfly Bush

The only plant that I originally planted in Barb's butterfly garden that is still alive is a butterfly bush, buddleia. It has bright colored flowers on it now and I often see butterflies visiting it. I think this big black butterfly is a spicebush swallowtail. It spent a long time on the bush and it flew all around my head in a friendly fashion when I went out to take pictures. One of the best butterfly sightings of the year so far!
