Respite

5.7C breezy with some blue sky and brightness in the afternoon.

Towards lunchtime the sky started to break and they grey clouds opened up to show the first patches of blue sky we have had for days. Even a respite of a day or two in the endless grey and snow showers is very welcome.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went down to the beach after lunch. The tide was well out so we walked right out to the very far edge of the boat channel on the firm wet sand. We enjoyed the bright light and the breeze and being in the salty air. The blip is from the grass by the car park at Westhaven and was taken before we walked down across the beach, through the rocks, and past most of the posts to the edge of the water :-)
