A brighter day

Couldn’t get to sleep for ages last night but felt reasonably bright this morning. Phin woke me just after 7 barking at shadows or birds in the garden but he came up and fell fast asleep again - I didn’t!

We had 3 nice walks over the course if the day and the sun came out mud Mir big so it was very pleasant.

Just happened to be standing beside the clematis admiring the abundance of blooms when I spotted this tiny hover fly so thought it would be ideal for Tiny Tuesday. Thanks to H0tamer for hosting this month.

Another couple of squares finished whilst Mr PHL made a sourdough loaf with starter we were given by a friend back in May which has been resting in the fridge up till now. It’s a very tasty loaf if a little lighter than a traditional sourdough but it’s an excellent start. He’s very good at baking (unlike me) so bread may be his new thing. He’s trying to get a GF version of the starter underway too.

Nice call with our son and his girlfriend to finalise arrangements for the gathering up in Blairgowrie for his birthday this weekend. I’m making chilli and pate so will be busy on Friday.
