Hot Tamale

Mild early on then steamy in the sun with a breeze all day. Made Shadow stay inside part of the day due to the extreme heat advisory. Up at 6:30, again. I sat on the back deck, had breakfast, said morning prayers and read till the heat was too much. Hubby brought me coffee on his way to mow at church. There is potential for rain tomorrow and he wanted to mow one more time before we head to WV. I cleaned a bit, read some more and napped. Very relaxing day. Hubby is bringing over dinner to heat since we have leftovers in the refrigerator at home. This is one of the plants on the back deck. Look at those tiny adorable ornamental peppers (scientific name: Capsicum annuum). They are native to southern North America and northern South America and are primarily used as a decorative plant. They need full sunlight to bloom and produce those tiny multi-colored peppers. They can be eaten but can be ‘blisteringly’ hot or terribly bland according to Wikipedia. They are annuals in this area and can be grown inside with enough sunlight. Thought they would be a good blip for TT. Thanks to our host. Really appreciate all the stars and comments. You guys are kind. “I'm a firm believer that no matter how small an object is, you can find interesting things out about it and its history”. - Henry Petroski
