Little Grebe ….

….. also known as a dab chick. They spend so much time diving below the surface of the water that they are rarely still long enough to get a decent picture.

I’ve seen them many times in the Heritage Park loch but at Rouken Glen today it was a first. The light wasn’t good and there were too many reeds blocking my best view ….. excuses for a rather out of focus photo.

The water lilies are still looking good ….. even the moorhen enjoys swimming amongst them and even walking over the lily pads.

A dull, dry morning, a very wet afternoon and now in the early evening the sun has decided to shine.
