Balancing act

This penguin fell through the ceiling last week. Theory is that they (being non binary about this) had been under the floorboards for at least a quarter of a century. They have now been formally adopted as the house mascot and are learning new skills such as balancing on a lemon.

TGR had her 29th birthday today. We spoke, and had virtual hugs. Amazingly her delayed DHL parcel that we sent ten days ago turned up on the day. So hoping that nothing happens to get in the way of her trip over here next month.

Lovely sunny day again. Went for a walk before starting work and again at lunchtime. Work was a bit of a fag but no dramas, in fact a few laughs along the way. 

The new coffee boat on the canal is now bedecked with flowers and has had its signage painted on the prow. Opening is now imminent. If it is successful perhaps they could float it on the stock market…
