Retirement …… for some

TodToday’s blip is the site of a new Summerset Retirement Village on St Johns Road in Auckland.  It’s a huge site and will have good views.  There are a number of companies providing retirement villages throughout New Zealand.  Summerset has 30 villages across the country, which are designed for the over 70s. They provide a choice of villas, townhouses, apartments and serviced apartments. There is also a range of care options, including rest home and hospital level, with additional support on hand and easy access to facilities and community spaces. Retirement villages are very popular but their business model can be quite aggressive in many instances. They’re not for everyone!
