Monarch, Right and Left

My first Monarch sighting!  I love all butterflies of course but Monarchs seem to me much friendlier and playful.  I was carrying a bunch of flowers I'd just picked to bring in and this little guy jumped on the flowers for a short ride before jumping of to visit the Rose of Sharon tree.  I was able to get two photos of him looking right and left.  I love how the antennae touch in the collage forming an arch!  We are in for two days of oppressive heat with temperatures in the mid-nineties.  Thankfully, Saturday will cool down again.  Lulu and I are very thankful for the air conditioning!
