Hopalong Katydid

This katydid is missing one of its large hind legs so I named it "Hopalong".  Whether it was born this way or lost the leg to a predator I don't know but it didn't seem to bother the wee katydid.  Hopalong Cassidy was a famous cowboy on television in the early 1950's.  I was never much of a fan of cowboy shows but I did like Roy Rogers and Dale Evans with their beautiful horse Trigger.  Later, I went to the Boston Garden to see a wild west show that featured the latest version of Annie Oakley.  Very exciting!
